The Rest of NYFW

From Jeremy Scott's "Baby Spice" inspired collection to Marc Jacobs' use of polka dots, lace, and vinyl, the rest of NYFW was interesting to say the least. Proenza Schouler's show which I saw on live stream was amazing and I want to emulate their runway for the next Tickle Me Pink show (think a warehouse venue and interesting zig-zagged light fixtures that matched the zig-zag patterned fabrics).

The juxtaposition of different patterns (see Proenza Schouler and Marc by Marc Jacobs) has been a prominent theme throughout many Fall RTW collections. It's a tricky thing to do and I think the boys at Proenza really mastered it! Also there was a lot of velvet in their collection (a personal favorite).

Pictures from Style.com as usual, and enjoy. London Fashion Week posts to follow.

DVF Fall RTW 2011 (does it remind anyone of Mondo's finale dress from Project Runway with less polka dots?)
