Pre-NYFW

I am currently trying to get all of my homework out of the way right now so that tomorrow before I take a quiz in my textiles class where I will have to distinguish the difference between different fibers by looking through a microscope and burning samples of fabric, I can blog about the shows which start at 8 am!

In preparation for highly anticipated New York Fashion Week, I went to an event at By George, a local boutique in Austin, which reminded me much of the boutique I used to work at in Houston, Abejas. There were photographers from Tribeza Magazine as well as my favorite, Culture Map! It was essentially the closest that I could get to New York's acclaimed, Fashion's Night Out. Of course this year I am not working or attending any shows, since obviously I am in Austin, but NYFW is an event that won't disappear so there are plenty of opportunities for me! (Positive thinking). Pictures from the event should be on Culture Map and in the actual Tribeza Magazine soon, so stay tuned!

But in order to keep this post aesthetically pleasing and so that it not only contains my rambling about how I wish I was in New York, here are some photos of the place I will be blogging from so that I don't stay in my dorm all day...

AND things to look forward to besides NYFW and all the other fashion weeks that come after...MODA ROJO COFFEE-TABLE BOOK. You'll know what that means when you see it :)

Tune in for my coverage of NEW YORK FASHION WEEK SPRING 2012

xox,
RoJo
