About four years ago, I ventured into the world of fashion. My journey began by taking fashion design classes every Saturday. I never had realized the complexities of the fashion world. In these classes, I learn to make apparel in the form the French designers did centuries ago, in other words Haute Couture
How one may ask do I design in this style? The answer is simple, LOTS OF HANDWORK. Although a tedious task, it is one that I love and enjoy. Handwork adds more personality to a simple design. I have tried many new things from putting in zippers by hand to beading.
Lately, most big brand name designers do not make clothes the way the French couture designers did decades ago. However there are many present designers that still continue to make certain clothes in this style. Throughout this blog I will be presenting certain styles that have at least some influence of Haute Couture. In addition, I will also be presenting my fall and spring lines that I have recently made and my past ones.
