ACL 2012

So my music post came in time because ACL lineup was just announced and I AM GOING NO MATTER WHAT.
Can we say Florence + the Machine, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, Alabama Shakes, Oberhofer, JACK WHITE, Gotye, Metric, Avici, The Black Keys, Esperanza Spalding. AND MORE.

2012, you have been yet another year filled with splendid concerts and will continue to be.

LA MUSIQUE D'ETE

I discovered that Spotify can be used while in Mexico, so my life is pretty much complete. And because it's summer that means I have time to listen to more music and discover even more to share. I recommend some classics with a mix of some new stuff. Listen up brothers. and sisters too. But mostly men share my taste in music because I'm cool. Just kidding. Confession: I might be a bit cracky these days because I have no where to run since my mother has forbid me to run the streets of Mexico. Talk about overprotective. But I will just run up and down the stairs of my grandmother's house in the mean time until I sweat--be right back.

(I might have some foodie posts soon since I have not obsessed over food on moda rojo in a long time, or really ever.

And now back to the music. Oh can I just say that the commercials for the presidential campaign in Mexico are insane and take up 500093043 minutes on the radio, so basically the radio sucks in Mexico right now. Which is why I need to update the pod. or the iPod as normal people would say.

check it.

Halfway Through

Well...
It is May 21st and how many times have I posted in the year 2012? Probably about twice. I don't exactly remember the last time I posted and I have lost my touch as a blogger...but there are reasons behind my absence. First of all, school has taken over my life which is why I did not update my blog. But then I also experimented even more with fashion journalism and took an internship with CollegeFashionista where I wrote a weekly column about men's fashion. Then I also became a writer for Terror Magazine and of course continued to write for Spark Magazine. And continuing my fashion endeavors, I became more involved with University Fashion Group at UT and ran for assistant events planner. So all in all, while I have not exactly been writing on Moda Rojo I have however done everything related to fashion. Not to mention that I was finally in a fashion design class at UT.

But now that my first year of university is over and I am currently in Mexico City where I have an internship with Nylon Mexico, I have all the time in the world to blog, and update you on my randomness as it relates to my three passions--fashion, music, and food. And as a present to your eyes, I finally updated my banner which I had been working on for a while. So I hope you like the newness and freshness of Moda Rojo, and now just wait for what's to come this summer.
